| Customer Reviews: Lopsided July 23, 2010 Settler (Missouri) This ball appeared at first to be a good deal, but after playing a few games we figured out that it was badly out of round.
Great Volleyball March 4, 2010 Jake Thomas (Dallas, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was very excited to receive the ball in the mail last week, and I found it to be a very good ball. However, it had a few small tears but nothing too serious. Overall its a great ball for the price and I will buy a few more of this type.
Damaged ball October 4, 2009 LMD 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
This volleyball was deflated when I got it. I thought the seller simply forgot to inflate it so I filled it with air in hopes of taking it to the court right away. Unfortunately it was so damaged that it wouldn't even hold air. I would suggest a different ball and a different seller.
Great soft hit outdoor ball July 18, 2008 J. Barz (Clarion IA) This ball is a super soft to the hit, not to the touch (like an indoor). Meaning its skin is some type of synthetic rubber but is not cheap rubber. It feels nice and easy like a rubber ball when you hit it but has much better grip and control to it. It is not slick smooth rubber. When I first got it I was not too sure about it but the more we play with it the more I like it.
Pro's - This ball does NOT sting. You can hammer on it all day. If you do get a hold of it be ready to run, this ball fly's. It also sounds SWEET when you get a hold of it, it sounds like the professionals hits. Got a nice solid thump to it.
This is NOT a slick outdoor volleyball!! If were to get wet still controlable.
Con's - It is not as smooth as the picture makes it look. It's kind of lumpy where the stitching is, but does not affect play.
I guess I would say this is a really good outdoor volleyball. I got it for less than $30(I wouldn't pay more than that). We use this in our co-ed league in place of the supplied bar balls. If you are really picky you might want to look at this ball in stores before you buy. If you have a lot of new beginners this is definitely the ball for them. NO STING!! / Good grip / Great Control
Great Value for an Outdoor Ball June 20, 2007 C. Wong (Houston, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For those who play sand competitively, this is an excellent volleyball. It's a super-soft, raised panel design and plays like an indoor volleyball...easy to pass and set compared to other vballs. The Tachikara brand never disappoints. A quality purchase for a great price which I was able to purchase for under $30.
