I already have 2 of these, but at this price I can use another. This is not a power racquet, but is great for control and adding spin. Good feel
Bargain price for a solid racket December 8, 2008 S. Hong 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am an intermediate (3.0-3.5) baseline player and I have to say this racket feels pretty solid. I have been accustomed to oversized head heavy rackets with similar overall weight, but I decided those have too much power and were not maneuverable enough. I demoed several rackets, either headlight or even balance and narrowed my choices down to the Head Liquidmetal 4 and Wilson nTour 95. But, between those two, I found that the LM4 had more power and stability, but was less maneuverable than the nTour. Then one day, I found the Head Instinct Team on Amazon for about half the price of those other rackets! What was even sweeter was that at least according to the specs, the Instinct Team seemed to offer the best combination of control and power. The Instinct feels solid with a fairly good sized sweet spot. The best part was not being late on very hard hit balls because this racket is so much more maneuverable than the head heavy rackets I've used. My only complaint is the shock absorber that came with the racket, which did not seem to dampen shocks as much as aftermarket ones, but hey, at least it came with one.
